What is the Irish Life Experience?
By the end of the Irish Life Experience, each participant will have:
• Experienced campus living with their peers from all over North America.
• Developed an understanding of the evolution of Irish social and political history from early AD to the present day, as well as how developments in Ireland have affected and influenced the rest of the world.
• Read and reflected on the works of several authors from both contemporary and past Irish and Anglo-Irish literature.
• Learned and been able to participate in the joys of Irish folk dancing. • Been introduced to the basics of the Irish language.
• Working knowledge of Irish drama, music, and song.
• Engaged in and have a general understanding of Irish sports, such as Gaelic football, hurling, and rugby.
Who is eligible?
Students entering or in high school ages 14-18; Applicants must apply and be accepted into the program to receive scholarship
When: June 28, 2026-July 22, 2026
Where: Students depart Logan International Airport in Boston, MA, travel to four location including Waterford, Dublin, Killarney, and Galway! Students then return to Logan International Airport in Boston, MA. Student’s families are responsible for getting them to and from the airport.
Cost: Approx. $6,050 (The AOH Men’s Division will cover half as part of the scholarship if selected)
How to apply: Students must apply online at www.irishlifeexperience.com, if accepted, students can apply for the scholarship through the Men’s Division. Those applications will be available at the AOH hall and online at www.bcaoh.com.
