Division One President's Message
The 60th Anniversary Party is in the books. The food was delicious with lots of variety. John Tobias is always a crowd pleaser. He can play any request and is happy to do so. Many thanks to the set up and clean up teams especially Maureen Kadlecik and Barb Walling who was there from beginning to end.
I would like to thank everyone that helped find the former Presidents and identify people in the photographs. I was able to get a photograph of all the past presidents with lots of help. I have a few more photos to add then I will leave it at the hall.
Hope to see you at the family picnic on Sunday, July 12th, 12pm to 5pm. You can support the zoo and admire our garden which is located near the restrooms. Look for the carousel. Thanks to all that help maintain particularly the Burke family. If you are ever in the area feel free to stop by and pull a weed or two.
The AOH Golf Tournament on August 22, 2026. Details are on the flyer. Deadline to register is 8/10/2026. If you are not a golfer, consider volunteering to help make the event a success.
22nd Halfway to St. Patrick;s Day Hooley is 9/18/2026. Mary Gilroy is the Chair for the raffle baskets and restaurant board. The board contains all kinds of gift certificates- restaurants, salons, retails stores, etc. If you know a business that may donate please reach out and ask for a gift certificate. I will be attending the National Convention in Omaha. In the August will report the highlights in the Chieftain.
We wish to extend our sincere condolences to the Clark and Bulger families on the loss of Lori Clark.

Division Two President's Message
We opened our meeting with the “Draping of the Charter” ceremony in remembrance of Colleen Mulcahy Eldred. Our meeting was followed by our picnic, thanks for helping and providing a delicious meal, it’s always nice to see the variety of food and desserts.
Thank you to members of the AOH and LAOH for donating and buying items at our Spring/Summer Rummage Sale. And thank you to our division members for all the hard work in sorting, selling and cleaning up afterward, the money we earned goes towards our charities.
Hope to see you on Sunday, July 12 at the AOH/LAOH Family Picnic at Ross Park, 12-5, grill is open 12-2. Hot dogs, hamburgers and sausage provided, bring a dish to pass and your own beverage.
Safe travels to those traveling to Omaha, NE for the AOH/LAOH National Convention. If you are interested in volunteering at the 2027 AOH/LAOH NYS Convention being held in Binghamton, please contact me.
In late July you should be receiving our division Lottery Ticket Fundraiser letter/tickets for the month of September, thank you to Colleen McMahon and Deb Kennedy.
Hollie Walsh is finalizing plans for Our Lady of Knock Mass to be held on Saturday, August 8th, 5pm at St. Paul’s Church with a dinner at the AOH Hall following.
Still time to sign up for the AOH Golf Tournament on August 22nd. If you aren’t a golfer, they can always use help at the hall, prize donations or sponsorship of a hole for $100.
Tickets are available for the September 18th Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Hooley. There are order forms for shirts on sale at the AOH, make sure to get one.
Thank you to our Division 1 Sisters for inviting us to their Woman of the Year breakfast, Congratulations to Eileen Zemek, a well-deserving Sister of this award. Congratulations to our Division 1 Sisters on 60 years!
Cookie Luke is accepting payment for dues which have now increased to $35, please send a check with your card and a self-addressed stamped envelope to the AOH Hall, 148 Main St., Bing., NY 13905 to her attention or drop it off at the AOH.
Condolences to our LAOH Div. 1 Sisters on the loss of their sister Lori Bulger Clark. Please continue to pray for our Sister and Brother Hibernians and their families, along with our men and women in the armed forces.
Since we don’t meet in July or August, our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 16th at 7pm.
Enjoy the summer, have fun, stay safe and don’t forget to stop in the hall to catch up with your Sisters and Brothers. Before we celebrate the freedom, we should not forget to remember those who laid down their lives for us. May peace, love and happiness…Always be with you! Have a safe and Happy 4th of July!!

Our annual AOH/LAOH picnic will be held on July 12th at the Ross Park Pavillion. Hope to see you all there. Great time and good food.
Our National AOH/LAOH Convention will be held in Omaha, Nebraska from July 13-19. Many of our sister and brother Hibernians. will be attending. We will bring back to everyone what we have learned at the convention.

Junior Division News
Celebrating 10 Years of Our Junior Division. In June, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of our charter. Over the years, our Juniors have made significant contributions to our community through volunteer service and charitable giving. Since 2021, they have earned the New York State Junior Scrapbook Award, which highlights their outstanding accomplishments and community involvement.
Once again, our Juniors stepped up to make a difference by completing a wheelchair ramp on Hawleyton Road on the South Side of Binghamton. Through the Broome County Council of Churches’ “Ramp It Up” Youth Program, they not only provided a life-changing service to a person with a disability but also gained valuable carpentry skills. Well done, Juniors—we are so proud of you!
Thank you to everyone who brought goodies for the “Happiness” packages that the girls assembled at their June meeting. They will be lovingly distributed with meals to the needy in our community.
Our Juniors and their families are invited to the AOH/LAOH Picnic on Sunday, July 12, at noon at the Ross Park Zoo Pavilion. The AOH Men’s Division will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, and sausage. Please bring a dish to share and your favorite beverage. While you’re there, take a stroll through the Story Garden located next to the pavilion. Come celebrate summer with us!
Help Grow Our Junior Division: We are actively recruiting new members ages 5 to 18 who are Catholic and of Irish heritage. Junior members do not need to be related to a member of an AOH or LAOH division. It is important to keep our membership strong and growing, with the hope that our Juniors will continue as lifelong members of the LAOH. Junior members who sponsor a new member will receive a special gift!
As our Juniors recess until September, we wish each of you a summer filled with fun, laughter, new adventures, and unforgettable moments with family and friends.
